Day 7: Today, We Achieved Absolutely Nothing… Beautifully 😂
Another glorious rainy day. 🌧️
And today I took full advantage of it.
I slept.
Then I woke up.
Then I slept again.
Then I briefly considered being a productive member of society…
…and went back to sleep.
Basically, I spent the majority of Day 7 horizontal, which honestly seems to be becoming one of my strongest exercise positions. At this rate, reverse planking may actually become my speciality. 😂
The fatigue was fatiguing today, and my migraine decided to make an unwanted comeback, so apparently my body had one item on its programme:
REST.
And for once, I listened.
Food wasn’t particularly exciting either.
Because of the migraine, I really didn’t feel like eating much.
I managed my granola and yoghurt for breakfast, an apple and a few pieces of beef strips during the day.
Which obviously meant that by supper time I had accumulated enough responsible-adult points to cash them in for…
McDonald’s. 🍟😂
Now, before anyone starts clutching their chicken breasts and broccoli—
I didn’t go completely feral.
I tried their new lemon pepper wrap with chips and a Stoney Zero.
And you know what?
Not a bad little cheat meal in my books.
Although I’m starting to dislike the term cheat meal.
I didn’t cheat on anything.
I ate McDonald’s.
My relationship with my granola remains intact. 😂
This was always supposed to be something I could actually live with.
I’m not going to spend the rest of my life terrified of a chip.
I ate very little today, I wanted McD’s, I had McD’s, I enjoyed it, and tomorrow we carry on.
No guilt. No dramatic restart on Monday. No funeral for my fitness journey.
Just food.
Speaking of tomorrow…
Tomorrow…
WE DO LEGS.
Yes.
Apparently I have learned absolutely nothing from Day 1.
😂
Seeing as today’s blog basically consists of “I slept, my head hurt and I ate McDonald’s,” I thought I’d at least share what Future Me has planned.
We’re starting with a nice brisk incline walk to warm up, followed by leg press, leg curls and leg extensions. Then I’ll superset adductors and abductors before moving on to glute bridges and calf raises.
And then…
the plank.
Again.

Look at me putting it on the programme like I’m suddenly a woman who planks now.
One successful 20-second attempt and apparently I’ve become arrogant. 😂
We’ll see how that goes.
For now, though, Day 7 was boring.
It was uneventful.
It was completely restful.
And actually… that’s okay.
Seven days ago, I probably would’ve looked at a day like today and felt guilty for doing nothing.
But maybe part of doing this properly is understanding that sometimes your body genuinely needs you to stop.
Today, mine did.
So I stopped.
Tomorrow will be better. Tomorrow I’ll hopefully have considerably more nonsense to report.
And if everything goes according to plan, tomorrow evening I’ll be walking like I’ve recently learned how legs work.
Sweet dreams, everyone. ❤️
Day 7: Done.
Body: utterly useless.
Migraine: returned without invitation.
Food: minimal.
McDonald’s: enjoyed without guilt.
Exercise: aggressive sleeping.
Plank: scheduled for tomorrow.
Tomorrow’s legs: blissfully unaware of what’s coming.
One whole week down.
Apparently… we really are doing this. 🩷
